Now Presenting... ([info]commonsenseless) wrote,

my eyes sting

i just want to voice the optimism that currently resides in me regarding our San Francisco Giants. Now that the All Star Break comes to a close, i hear the winds a-changin' and the victorious cheers of thousands, cause oh yes, mark my words, the Giants will be turning a new leaf, and we should all be so lucky as to witness it. So keep your eyes pealed as tomorrow our ace Jason Schmidt goes against the hated Dodgers and watch him blow all those blue -spawns -from- hell away with his 95 mph fastball. And as you witness the Giants' amazing ascent up to first in the National League West and feel yourself shaking your head incredulously thinking , "By gosh, Leslie was right!" feel free to go ahead and make me a grilled cheese sandwhich.

i think it would be fair to say that my mornings ever since the 2nd grade have been defined by morning radio show programs. In the second grade, i would wake up to the sounds of Mancow on 94.9 (anyone remember him?!) and hear things that a little 7 year old shouldnt hear. Then i listened to the Dog House from about 3rd to sophomore year, then on to Sarah and No Name. i always felt a little guilty abandoning the Dog House as they had entertained me for so many years so i'd occasionally set my alarm clock to be greeted by their obnoxious voices (i woke up to them on the morning of 9/11 even). today i learned that they had been fired for "offensive comments on and off the air" and that made me sad..and mad. boy howdy was i pissed at 94.9, quite reminiscent of when i thought sarah and noname were taken off air (remember ruthie?)..but i think im more sad about it cause i just always thought they'd be there to listen to and now they're ..not. boo. im on a mini boycott of 94.9.

although ive informed most people, i thought i'd post this anyway, i hecka want to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Friday, which of course is the day before the BIG DAY (HARRY POTTER WOOOOO!!!!!) anyhoo, unfortunately i have to work, so i wouldnt be able to watch it until after 9:30 (BOOOOO) but i was wondering if anyone would be interested in watching perhaps the 9:35 (if i can get off early, which i should be able to do) or 10:30 show..come on, it'll be fun! then we can go to Barnes and Noble and watch people scrounge for Harry Potter! man, im getting all excited thinking about it. make this girl's little wish come true.... its up to you. leave a comment even if ive bugged you about it before cause if you dont, i'll leave hecka voicemails on your phone and thats never fun for either party. ;p what better way to bring us all together than a movie about chocolate?

the paragraph about the Giants... so eloquently written!!! i read it to
brian and he loved it!!! he said he'd make you more than a grilled cheese
sandwich... he'd also make you FRIES :O

and should you really be posting that thing about tomorrow's forecast? i
appreciate how you think we're gonna be hot together, but i thought you were
gonna copyright it before putting it up on some public domain... i mean,
i'm just looking out for you, not the millions i'm gonna be earning in
royalties off of you...
